Please come by to celebrate the summer games! Its been four years since the last summer games. Join Holly in watching the thrill of victory and cheer on the Red, White, and Blue.  In keeping with the theme, bring a dish that is linked to a country- That means anything in the world!  Holly will honor the country that is in the heart of early civilization by BBQing a TURKEY.

Aug. 23 (Sat.) - Thirteenth Annual Ongassing Pt. Lobos Dive
Time: 8:00 a.m. (gate opens - plan on being there a bit early) 
Place: Pt. Lobos State Reserve

Cost: $6 per diver plus $10 per car

Pt. Lobos State Reserve is one of the finest beach dive spots in Northern California.  Entry is walk-in down the (sometimes slippery) boat ramp.  It is limited to 15 teams of two divers each per day.  Reservations are required two months in advance on weekends.  Reservations are limited, so RSVPs are mandatory, and failure to cancel if you can't make it is a capital offense.

Parking is in short supply.  It is imperative that everyone carpool.

Aug. 23 (Sat.) - Thirteenth Annual Offgassing Pool Party
Time: 4:00 p.m. until ???

After we dive Pt. Lobos, Chuck Tribolet will host a party at his house in Morgan Hill, which is right on the way back for most people. 

Chuck will supply swimming pool, hot tub, his world-famous sangria, hot coals, and a Wurlitzer jukebox full of old 45s.  Bring whatever you want to grill, a dish to share, and your own drinks.

You are welcome to come even if you don't dive. Please RSVP to triblet@garlic.com

Sept. 6 (Sat.) - Vicki Wolfe's 8th Annual Pool Party and Pot-Luck

Bring a dish to share, whatever you want to drink, a swim suit.
Vicki willl provide soft drinks, beer, and munchies, a gas grill, a warm swimming pool and jacuzzi, a pool table, and a terrific group of people.
No dogs please, this is Gracie's house.

Sept. 26-28 (Sat.) - Camping, Portola Redwoods State Park

a weekend of camping in our local redwoods at the Portola Redwoods State Park, located off Highway 35.  There are still some sites left in Loop sites 20-45, if you would like to make your own reservations.  Let me know if you are interested in sharing my site.  This campground has a couple of creeks and many hiking trails and is only 1 hour from Silicon Valley.   You can make campsite reservations at http://www.reserveamerica.com/..

Long Range

Sample the fine wines of El Dorado and ?? Counties, escape the summer heat, enjoy delicious appetizers and refresh yourself by the banks of the South Fork of the American every Saturday evening this summer.  You'll meet award-winning wine makers as they share their wine and their expertise.

Raft the South and Middle Fork of the American River -- the perfect choice for a trip that includes lots of fun for everyone and is particularly well suited for groups of friends. Add to that our special wine tasting evenings accompanied by music
and camaraderie in this unique setting, and we have the ingredients for a great weekend!

Beginner Roller Blade

This would be roller blading for beginners, with help from the experienced.  We would provide guidance on where to rent blades, and keep the trail fairly short and easy.
